Nigeria face tough CHAN 2024 draw
The home-based Super Eagles may battle a tough first round group at the 2024 African Nations Championship.
DAILY POST reports that Eagles are not among the seeded teams in the draw for the tournament.
The draw for the biennial competition will take place on Tuesday at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
Teams will be seeded based on results in the last three editions of CHAN (2022, 2020 and 2018).
The Eagles failed to qualify for the previous two editions of the competition.
They defeated perennial rivals Ghana 3-1 to earn a place at CHAN 2024.
Co-hosts Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda as well as defending champions Senegal will occupy Pot 1.
The CHAN feature national teams consisting of players currently playing in their respective local leagues.
It will run from February 1 to February 28, 2028.
