CHAN 2025 qualifier: NPFL chief Elegbeleye tasks players on tournament’s ticket
The chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Gbenga Elegbeleye, has urged players invited to camp by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, for the 2025 African Nations Championship, CHAN, qualifier against Ghana to be good ambassadors of the league.
DAILY POST reports that 30 players were called to the home-based Super Eagles camp by head coach Augustine Eguavoen on Monday.
Elegbeleye congratulated the players invited to the qualifying game.
“As the best from the NPFL, you are expected to not only excel in the qualifiers but also compete for the title in the finals,” Elegbeleye said in a statement released on Monday.
The players are expected to report to the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Wednesday, December 4.
