The Spanish basketball superstar Pau Gasol has echoed the initiative carried out by the Real Betis together with the Ambulance of Desire Foundation, which he has praised through his social networks. Through this organization Paco Rodríguez, member 105 of the green and white club, has been able to fulfill his dream of returning to Benito Villamarín to be able to watch his team’s game on a stretcher, now that he is unable to play after suffering a stroke. Paco had not been to the stadium since the pandemic and this Sunday he was able to enjoy the green and white victory over Espanyol.

Through his networks, Gasol has praised the gesture they have had with Paco. «A beautiful initiative. Congratulations to @AmbuDeseo and @RealBetis for making it possible,” said the former NBA player this Monday along with an icon clapping and the link to history with the Movistar+ images.

The 81-year-old Betic player has not been able to go to the stadium since the pandemicsince he suffered a stroke in which he lost part of his mobility. Now he has been able to fulfill his dream thanks to the request made by the Ambulance of Desire Foundation and which the club was delighted to accept. The Betic player was very happy after the end of the match and not only because they achieved victory against Espanyol. Once the meeting is over, Giovanni Lo Celso came to see him and gave him his shirt. An experience that you will never forget.

The Ambulance of Desire Foundation was an initiative created to fulfill the last requests of people who have very serious illnesses or who have been bedridden for a long time. Thanks to the work of its workers, there are already several fans who have been taken to different soccer fields.
