Kidnap victims rescued in Taraba

Three victims have been rescued from the hands of kidnappers at Dutse Mubayu around the Kona Mountains of Jalingo, the state capital.

This was disclosed in a statement by the spokesman of the Taraba Police Command Abdullahu Usman.

He noted that the victims were kidnapped at Sibre village of Ardo Kola local government area on the 6th of December 2024.

He stated that a team of operatives from Area Command Jalingo in collaboration with the vigilante, had swung into action and put up a hot chase on the kidnappers, after receiving a distress call.

Usman however noted that due to the firing power of the police, the kidnappers were subdued, took to their heels, and abandoned the victims.

The victims were rescued unhurt and have been reunited with their family.
