The capital’s sports program returns this Tuesday, October 1 with more than 200 different courses.

The new “Sports for all” season in the City of Luxembourg begins today. This year, the program offers more than 200 sports-leisure, sports-fitness and sports-health classes. Activities take place from Monday to Sunday, indoors, in the swimming pool or outdoors and are spread over more than 30 sites across the city.

The program for young people offers around thirty sporting activities: skateboarding, cycling, skating, zumba, break-dancing, fitness gym, weight training on machines, futsal, multisports, volleyball, badminton, billiards, chess, shooting archery, table tennis, aikido, field hockey…

The sports offer for adults includes more than 100 weekly classes: stretching, maintenance gym, relaxation gym, preventive gym, abdominal/back gym, lunchtime gym, parent-child gym (1-4 years), fitness gym, ski fitness, bodywork shape, bodybuilding on machines, aquatic gymnastics, aquajogging, aquacycling, hydrogym, jogging, Nordic walking, leisure volleyball…

The sports program for seniors offers sports activities adapted to the physical abilities of people aged 55 or over: walking, Nordic walking, stretching, gentle gym, sports for seniors, gentle weight training on machines, dancing for seniors, aquagym, pétanque on ice, ski gymnastics, badminton, chess…

Alongside these “classic” sporting activities, the program also includes unusual activities such as discovery curling, ice skating for parents and children (4-11 years), self-defense, fiesta fitness, cross fitness, taijiquan or qi gong.
