The Elumelu family’s business empire, Heirs Holdings, has achieved major growth, driving up Tony Elumelu’s net worth to $2.15 billion.
The report by Moneycentral reveals that Tony Elumelu’s net worth of $2.15 billion is comprised of various investments and holdings.
These include his stakes in Heirs Holdings, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp), and United Bank for Africa (UBA).
The Elumelu family holds a significant 35% stake in Transcorp, which has seen a substantial surge in value. The company’s share price rose from N5.16 per share in March 2023 to N51 per share as of March 10, 2025, resulting in a total market capitalization of N523.8 billion.
The family’s stake in Transcorp is valued at N187.9 billion, equivalent to $125 million.
Additionally, Elumelu’s shares in UBA have also seen significant growth.
With a 7.43% stake in the company, his valuation has increased to $63.69 million, following a rise in the company’s share price from N23 per share in March 2023 to N37.60 in March 2025.
Elumelu’s other investments have also contributed to his net worth. His stakes in Heirs Energies are valued at $1.74 billion, making it his largest asset.
He also has significant holdings in Heirs Insurance ($28 million), United Capital ($61.5 million), and Real Estate ($75 million). Furthermore, he has an estimated £50 million in cash.
