The major open tournament of the Laudun-l’Ardoise Tennis club took place over three weeks on the courses of the Lascours complex; endowed with €2,300 in prizes and prizes including €500 for the winners and €250 for the finalists, it brought together 151 participants, 32 ladies and 119 gentlemen, from 38 Gard clubs and neighboring departments.

For Nathalie Peyrouse, the president of the club, “ the tournament was a great success, barely hampered by a lot of wind and a rainy final Sunday; it allowed many players from the region to express themselves in competition.” The finals saw the victory among the men of Thomas Mondant, ranked 1/6, from Orange against Raphaël Perrucchini, also ranked 1/6, from Pontet in two sets 6/2 6/4. For the ladies, once again the club teacher Lisa Bognard, 1/6, wins the tournament; she won 7/5 6/1 against Capucine Dournes, 2/6, from Hauts de Nîmes.

The end of the tournament marks the return to full activity of the club with the resumption of lessons, every Wednesday and Saturday morning, for the sixty young people registered at the club; adults train in the evening from 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
