Naranjeros faced Mexicali this Sunday at Camelback Ranch at the conclusion of the Mexican Baseball Fiesta in the Phoenix area

NSN: Glendale, Arizona: This Sunday the Mexican Baseball Fiesta concluded at Camelback Ranch with the match in which the Naranjeros de Hermosillo fell 12-4 against the Águilas de Mexicali.

Curtis Taylor started for Naranjeros in what was his preseason presentation with the LAMP champions. In the first inning the Águilas made a run against Taylor to take the lead in the match.

The Orange Squad responded in the final part of the first episode against David Reyes when Francisco Lugo and Luis González connected hits, leaving everything ready for Dylan Jasso to show his power by blowing the fence in left field to put the game 3-1 for Hermosillo .

Fernando Salas relieved Curtis Taylor in the third inning and the Mexicali offense produced a five-run rally that turned the game 6-3 for the Cachanillas.

The Eagles added two more runs in the fourth inning against Raúl Barrón’s serpentine, taking a five-run lead on the board.

Ricky Karcher relieved in the fifth for Hermosillo and allowed a run by the feathered offense that made the score 9-3 for Mexicali.

The Eagles scored two more runs in the top sixth, putting the game 11-3 in their favor.

Naranjeros scored at the end of the sixth inning thanks to Luis González’s sacrifice fly to right field that allowed Ángel Camacho to score Hermosillo’s fourth run.

Mexicali scored a run in the opening of the seventh on Juan José Santillán’s account, which made the final score 12-4.

Naranjeros will travel to Tucson tonight to continue with their preseason training on Monday and Tuesday and then play on Wednesday in Douglas against the Yaquis of Ciudad Obregón.
