He said;” The 137th annual conference of the United Evangelical Church in Nigeria will hold in Aba, from 9th to 13th December,at the headquarters of the Aba Area conference, along Ikot Ekpene road.We will have delegates from all over Nigeria. The conference will be an opportunity for the church to offer prayers for the peace, security and stability of the nation. We will also use the opportunity to offer prayers for President Bola Tinubu and other leaders for God to guide him and other leaders to build a godly nation where the welfare of the masses takes priority. The nation is in a very bad situation and it is affecting the faithful. Therefore, the church will not shy away from making its voice heard in pleading with God for intervention. There is need for national repentance and healing for things to be right again.

“People are suffering, they can’t afford food, taxes are increasing and everyone is crying because of the hardship in the land.

“We are praying for God to touch the heart of the President for him to institute welfare programmes because people are suffering. Government should have a human face, we need policies, but we also need to survive.

“Young people are resorting to idolatry and ritualism because of hardship. This was not God’s plan for man. Many are turning evil due to lack of jobs.We will also be praying for God to keep the people who believe in Him; Christians should not lose their hope and faith because of hardship.

“God can also turn the hearts of the evil ones. There is nothing God cannot do for His people. It may be difficult but christians should have faith and hope that tomorrow would be better.”
