The 76th Koganei Citizens Sports Festival Boys’ Softball Tournament (organized by the City Boys’ Softball Federation and sponsored by Tokyo Shimbun, etc.) was held on September 29th at Musashino Park Baseball Stadium in Tokyo, with the finals for the 3rd and under division held by Nukui. Juniors D defeated Koganei Victory D to win the championship.

Nukui Juniors D took a three-run lead in the first inning, and extended their lead to four points in the second inning thanks to Kaeda Kawada’s well-timed three-point double. In the final inning, he scored four points due to a walk and an opponent’s error, deciding the game. Captain Dan Nakamura said energetically, “The pitcher had good control, and it was a perfect score game.” Koganei Victory D also managed to score three points thanks to Yudai Tamura’s double and Soyasu Shimazu’s timely hit, but they were not as strong.
