NPFL: Ikorodu City must aim top three finish — Aweroro
Ikorodu City interim coach, Nurudeen Aweroro says the players need to be encouraged to aim higher in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL this season.
The Oga Boys currently occupy fifth position on the NPFL table with 21 points.
Ikorodu City are unbeaten in their last games in the league.
Aweroro stated that the midweek win over El-Kanemi Warriors has given players the needed confidence to fight for a continental
“The win over El-Kanemi Warriors has given us the opportunity to climb up on the NPFL standing,” Aweroro told NPFL media.
“The players need to be encouraged to aim higher on the log.”
Ikorodu City will square up with Akwa United at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan on Sunday.
