Abuja, Oct. 2, 2024 (TheGavel) – As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence anniversary, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reassured citizens of a prosperous future under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu. The party expressed confidence in the administration’s ongoing efforts to improve the living conditions of Nigerians and drive the country towards lasting progress.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Morka, the party highlighted its optimism for the nation’s future while extending heartfelt congratulations to Nigerians on this significant national milestone.

Morka lauded the country’s founding fathers, acknowledging their courage and sacrifices in securing an independent Nigeria that has endured for 64 years. He called for continued reflection on their legacy as Nigeria moves forward.

“On this day, we pay tribute to our founding fathers whose courage, doggedness, sacrifices, and patriotism earned us an independent nation that has endured 64 years and is marching on. May their labour continue to be vindicated by the peace, unity, and progress of our nation and people,” Morka said.

He commended Nigerians for their resilience and determination in navigating the country’s challenges and reiterated the party’s commitment to ensuring a more peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria.

Acknowledging the hurdles faced along the way, Morka emphasized that the APC’s Renewed Hope Agenda, championed by President Tinubu, was designed to eliminate obstacles hindering Nigeria’s path to greatness.

“The president campaigned to clear the barricades and has now set his hands on the plough to clear the same,” Morka stated.

He also pointed out that the administration was making bold policy decisions and implementing vital reforms, which, though initially challenging, are crucial for long-term national growth and prosperity. Morka noted that while some of these reforms had caused temporary economic difficulties, the country was already beginning to experience positive outcomes.

“The president maintains an iron-clad commitment to doing all that is necessary to continue to mitigate and cushion their effects. He will not relent until the living conditions and the common good of all Nigerians have significantly improved,” Morka assured.

In his message to the public, Morka called for patience and sustained support for the Tinubu-led administration. He emphasized that Nigeria was on the cusp of a new era of prosperity and encouraged citizens to remain hopeful and resilient.
