Arsenal’s January transfer plans have taken a new turn following injuries to key players like Bukayo Saka and Ethan Nwaneri.

The Gunners, currently chasing Liverpool in the Premier League title race, may need quick moves in the winter window to maintain their momentum.

Initially, Arsenal prioritized bolstering the left wing, seeking a world-class player to complement Saka’s dominance on the right.

However, with Saka sidelined until mid-March after hamstring surgery, attention has shifted to securing reinforcements across the attack.

Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, while dependable, have not matched Saka’s productivity, combining for 10 goals and five assists compared to Saka’s nine goals and 13 assists this season.

The need for a top striker has also grown evident. Despite Gabriel Jesus’ resurgence and Kai Havertz’s steady performances, manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that a prolific No. 9 could help the team’s title challenge.

Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams remains a top target. The versatile 22-year-old winger, with a release clause of £48 million, has proven himself in La Liga.

However, competition from Barcelona and his loyalty to Bilbao could complicate the deal.

Other options include Alexander Isak, valued at £150 million by Newcastle, a price likely beyond Arsenal’s winter budget.

Alternatives like Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres carry steep valuations of £50-80 million.
