Neymar has resumed group training at Al-Hilal, as can be seen in images shared by the club on official channels. The Brazilian star has been struggling with a cruciate ligament injury since October last year and is now on his way back.

Things went wrong for Neymar in the international match between Uruguay and Brazil on October 18 (2-0). Just before half time, the attacker went to the ground in great pain and had to be replaced by Richarlison.

Neymar hasn’t played a minute since. On Sunday he took part in group training for the first time.

The most expensive player of all time reacts to his return on Instagram. “Happy to be back with the group,” he wrote. “It’s all fun from now on.”

For the time being, Neymar will not make any official minutes yet. The left winger still needs some time to fully recover and will have to wait at least a few more weeks for match action.

Neymar has been under contract with Al-Hilal since the summer of 2023. At the time, the Saudi top club transferred ninety million euros to Paris Saint-Germain.

In just over a year, Neymar only made five appearances. He was good for one goal and three assists.
