Mexicali put together a five-race ‘rally’ to beat Naranjeros in the ‘Mexican Baseball Fiesta’

GLENDALE, United States (NORTH GRADE).- A five-run rally in the third inning led the Águilas de Mexicali to a 12-4 victory over Naranjeros de Hermosillo, in the last game of the “Mexican Baseball Fiesta” held in Arizona, United States.

The duel took place this Sunday at the “Camelback Ranch” in Glendale, where Curtis Taylor appeared as a starter for Naranjeros in the preseason of the Mexican Pacific League, however, the American pitcher was soon punished with a run in the ninth cachanilla.

At the close of the same chapter, Naranjeros turned the score around when Francisco Lugo and Luis González scored with a home run through the left field by Dylan Jasso that put the score 3-1 in their favor, with David Reyes on the Mexicali mound.

Naranjeros scored their fourth run in the sixth inning with a sacrifice fly by Luis González that drove in Ángel Camacho; Mexicali would close the account in the top of the seventh inning with a run by Juan José Santillán.

The Orange Squad would travel to Tucson this Sunday night to resume training this Monday and Tuesday, to face Yaquis de Ciudad Obregón on Wednesday in Douglas.
