A Nigerian man gets hospitalized after being dumped by his girlfriend, a situation he revealed in a post shared on his page via the popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter).

In the post, the man disclosed that the breakup occurred in November, captioning it simply, “I got dumped.”

Alongside the post, he shared the breakup message sent by his girlfriend, which reads:

“Hey my man, Thank you so much for being the best thing that has happened to me. I thank Almighty Allah always for your presence and your love. Knowing you has been a blessing, and I’ve loved you deeply. I was looking forward to spending many more beautiful and happier days with you. I love you, Temitope.”

“But I’ve thought about this really hard, and I’m sorry that I’ve been distant. I don’t know how long it will take for everything to come together. I need a friend more than a boyfriend right now.”

“It’s too much for me—worrying about schoolwork, holding my family together, and managing a relationship all at once. So, please, could we just be friends for the time being? I’m really sorry to hurt you this way.”

As the post circulated online, concerned individuals flooded the comments section to share their thoughts, with many offering words of support and encouragement.
