Asisat Oshoala, who now plays as a striker for National Women’s Soccer League club Bay FC in America, was seen engaging her fans with songs, making more lively and comfortable around her.

The footballer thrilled her team mate and the audiences when she began to sing ‘Ojuelegba‘, an iconic song sang by top Nigerian’s Afrobeat star, Wizkid.

The nostalgic song, ‘Ojuelegba’, which has been released 10 years ago, has continued to make waves in the Nigeria music industry far and beyond. A video making the rounds captured moment Asisat flawlessly sang the track word for word, captivating her fans with her melodious voice.

The fans were seen gushing as they groove to the song, clapping their hands in a way of producing beats to the song.

It is worth noting that Asisat Oshoala is widely considered one of the greatest female footballers of her generation. As one of the most acclaimed African female players in history, she has won the African Women’s Footballer of the Year award a record six times.

On May 16, 2021, Oshoala made history as the first African woman to win the UEFA Champions League, after Barcelona’s 4–0 victory over Chelsea in the final. The following season, she became the first African woman to claim the Primera División’s Pichichi Trophy, and in August 2022, she was the first African woman nominated for the Ballon d’Or Féminin. In 2024, she achieved another milestone, becoming the first African player to win the UEFA Champions League three times.
