Independence Anniversary: Nigeria destined for greatness – Gov Abdulrazaq
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Tuesday declared that Nigeria is destined for greatness despite the challenges confronting the country.
In a statement by his spokesman, Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin, Abdulrazaq felicitated President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians on the country’s 64th anniversary, declaring, “I am upbeat that this country is destined for greatness.
“Together, we can achieve not just the dream of our fathers for Nigeria but surpass it as everyone plays their roles in their own corners.”
The governor however, noted that “nation building is a marathon and an endeavour that required collective efforts to achieve”.
He added, “I commend the President for his bold reforms and the palliatives to temper its initial fallouts on the people, including the huge efforts to boost food security and critical national infrastructure.
“This is being complemented at sub-national levels with improved infrastructural development, investments in human capital development, and different economic initiatives and social protection measures designed to improve the living conditions of the people.
“I join Mr President and other patriots to appeal for patience and support as we navigate this phase. The fruits will be sweeter for all. Happy Independence Anniversary, dear compatriots!”
