Gunmen kidnap NDLEA Officers in Delta
Officers of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have been whisked away in Delta State by gunmen.
It was alleged that the heavily armed abductors intercepted the officer and his orderly, and kidnapped them close to the agency’s head office around 8:00 pm as the officers were heading home after work.
Knowing fully the victims’ departure time, they waited to ambush them off the Isah-Ogwashi-Uku Road in the Aniocha South local government area of the state.
Sources privy to the abduction hinted that the perpetrators might have an insider providing them with information.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the NDLEA State Command, Mr John Kennedy, refused to speak on the matter.
Recall that five individuals have been abducted in Ogwashi-Uku within the last 10 days, leaving residents of the area in a state of fear and panic as the criminals have reportedly been changing strategies to evade arrest.
