Fintiri Hails Donors for Boosting Healthcare Infrastructure

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has commended donor agencies for their vital support in enhancing the state’s healthcare sector.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) recently donated crucial hospital equipment to various health institutions across the state, bolstering the government’s efforts to provide quality healthcare services.

At a stakeholder gathering themed “Strengthening Health Care Systems and Building Capacity for Health Service Delivery in Adamawa State,” organized by HERON, IRC, USAID, and other partners, Commissioner for Health and Human Services Chief Felix Tangwami expressed gratitude to the donors for their timely intervention across the state’s 21 local government areas.

He assured the donors that the donated commodities would be utilized judiciously.

Dr. Suleiman Bashir Saidu, Executive Chairman of Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, echoed these sentiments, highlighting the significant role the donated equipment will play in enhancing health service delivery.

IRC Field Coordinator Timothy Golfa praised the state government for prioritizing healthcare, reaffirming IRC’s commitment to supporting government initiatives.

The donated items, including office furniture, computers, and electrical equipment, will be distributed to three beneficiary agencies. Representatives of these agencies have expressed their appreciation and pledged to utilize the commodities efficiently to provide top-notch health services.
