The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC),  Ekiti State Command, has recovered six suspected stolen phones and two power banks from a pickpocket.

The command said the suspect had taken to his heels during a stop-and-search operations by the command along the Iworoko axis of the state capital.

The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, SC Tolulope Afolabi, said the phones were valued at about N2 million.

Afolabi noted that the phones ranged from Samsung, Umgidi and other expensive makes.  The suspect fled abandoning the bag containing the stolen phones.

The state command is calling and appealing to the general public that anyone whose phone might have been stolen at Iworoko axis and other places in the state should visit the office of the command’s public relations officer with concrete proof of ownership to recover the phones.
