Champions League: Man City equal Man Utd record after latest win

Manchester City have now equalled their Premier League rival, Manchester United for the longest unbeaten run in UEFA Champions League history.

Pep Guardiola’s side achieved the feat after beating Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Before the game, Man City’s clash with Slovan Bratislava, the Cityzens sat one game behind Man United on the leaderboard for the longest undefeated streak in the Champions League.

Man United had gone 25 games unbeaten from 2007 to 2009 in the competition.

However, City has now matched that tally thanks to a 4-0 victory against Slovan Bratislava.

Recall that goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, Erling Haaland and James McAtee gave the Premier League champions the victory.

Man City now have the opportunity to surpass the Red Devils and set the bar higher when they face Czech side Sparta Praha on October 23.
