33-week-pregnant woman goes into labor while climbing Mount Everest
A 33-week-old heavily pregnant woman goes into labor while trying to climb to the top of 29,035-foot Mount Everest and gets criticized online.
This is detailed in a series of posts she shared on her page via the popular social media platform, TikTok.
The woman included a caption that better explained the post, which reads: “I never imagined this would happen. At 33 weeks, I decided to climb Mount Everest, thinking it was my last chance.”
“I never imagined this would happen. Fear and common sense were screaming ‘stop,’ but inside, there was this dream: if not now, maybe never. I knew the risks, but I felt this might be my last chance.”
“I stared at my backpack, getting ready for the most dangerous climb of my life. My mind was split between my baby and the fact that I was risking it all. Fear and excitement.”
At one point while climbing, she went into labor.
She wrote: “At the peak, I felt a sharp pain. The thought hit me: labor, right here, in the middle of Everest’s icy wind and freezing cold.”
She struggled to descend but couldn’t, and in the midst of this, a helicopter came to her rescue.
She added: “At that height, surrounded by ice and rock, a helicopter appeared. They picked me up and my baby right on the summit. I was almost blacking out, but finally felt relief and gratitude for being saved.”
She went on to reveal the face and name of her baby.
As the post went viral, concerned individuals flooded the comment section to share their thoughts.

Angelle: “Aside from all that…how did we get to Eric? Not like Everett or something?”

Kayla: “It was never your last chance girl…. You quite literally put yourself and your unborn son at risk of hypothermia or worse… not smart.”
Lexi: “At 33 weeks pregnant I used to take walks around the neighborhood after dinner, if I was feeling wild I would throw in an occasional squat. Hope this helps… in someway.. I’m not sure..”
Jahizone: “I’m not sure what the point of this post is? Do u want us to congratulate u for being a complete i…. ? what you did was irresponsible, selfish, lacking any sense of logic.”
